Intro & Welcome to In the Valley Hive

Meet the characters of In the Valley Hive. You will be able to make a variety of puppets come alive as you tell their story and showcase their personalities, as they interact to tell the important story of the role honeybees and pollinators play, as well as the plants, animals, and people supporting them.

Beekeeping Tools, Equipment, and Hive Anatomy

Learn about the equipment and tools needed for beekeeping, how and when to use them, how to put on a bee suit, and how to navigate working through a Langstroth hive.

Encaustic Collage Making

Create your own personal masterpiece by applying layers of beeswax and decorative paper and/or flowers to a canvas. Wear clothes that may get messy!

Lunch
